Digital rights and media organizations 7iber (Jordan), 7amleh (Palestine), and SMEX (Lebanon) spent the last three months of 2016 conducting research about the attitudes and practices of youth between the ages of 15 and 22 regarding privacy and digital security in their countries. In this session, the three host organizations will briefly present their methodologies and facilitate a conversation--via online channels--with young people who participated in their programs to amplify their perspectives and most pressing needs. After hearing from the youth, the organizers will engage IFF participants in an exploration of opportunities for more effectively meeting these needs and expanding awareness and support for digital rights among the next online generation.
