Thursday March 9 12:15-1:15pm at La Factoria.
We will build off last year's session "Prototyping Qubes trainings for different use-cases and communities" [1] by incorporating feedback from the session and developments in the intervening year to make the session even more engaging for new and interested participants.
In the workshop participants will map out their digital lives on marker & post-it (of course), and organize those lives into different domains depending on identity and security needs. This domain mapping exercise will be tested as an effective way to aid a new Qubes OS user in creating their initial "qubes" or domains.
We will once again introduce Qubes OS and split the audience into the two main framings of identity management and malware protection, but this time use the domain mapping exercise to overlay participants' digital lives onto the functionality of Qubes OS.
